Date: Saturday 26th September 2026 Time: 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM Location: West Hove Studio, 16 KINGSTHORPE RD, HOVE, E SUSSEX, BN3 5HR, UK Join me, Katie of KP Studio, for a relaxed and creative afternoon of pottery-making at West Hove Studio. In this half-day workshop, you'll learn to make your very own ceramic mug / tumbler and side plate using traditional slab-building techniques. We’ll explore ways to add texture and decoration through mark making and pressing in locally foraged foliage—you're welcome to bring your own gathered materials, though plenty will be provided. This workshop is perfect for all levels, including complete beginners. Whether you're looking to try something new or reconnect with clay, this experience is designed to be welcoming, mindful, and hands-on. It's a chance to unplug, get creative, and connect with the natural material beneath your hands. I'll guide you through each step of the process, using high-quality materials and tools to ensure you feel supported and confident throughout. After the workshop, your pieces will be carefully transported back to my studio for the full firing process – once to vitrify the clay, and again after glazing. Your finished mug and plate will be shipped to you within 5 weeks.
